PORK CHOPS AND BAKED BEANS

Ingredients

5 (1/2-inch-thick) pork chops, trimmed of all fat
Salt and pepper to taste
5 bell pepper rings
5 sliced onion rings
1 (20-ounce) can baked beans
1 cup bottled chili sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preparation

In a non-stick skillet, brown chops over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place chops in a deep greased baking dish. Top each pork chop with one bell pepper ring and one onion ring. Pour beans over chops. In a bowl, combine chili sauce, Worcestershire and brown sugar. Pour over beans. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 1 hour, adding more chili sauce if necessary to keep beans from drying out. Makes 5 servings.
