BROCCOLI SALAD

Ingredients

2 bunches broccoli, chopped
1 red or white onion, chopped
1/2 (15-ounce) box golden raisins
1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup white or cider vinegar
1/3 cup oil
1 (12-ounce) package bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preparation

Combine broccoli, onion, raisins and water chestnuts in a serving bowl. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar and oil, blending well. Pour over salad mixture; toss to blend. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Sprinkle bacon over top before serving. Makes 8-10 servings.
