Ingredients

1 loaf French bread
1 pound ground beef
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon oregano
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Preparation

Slice bread lengthwise and set aside. In a skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in tomato paste, Parmesan, onion, oregano, salt and pepper, blending well; simmer 10-15 minutes. Spread meat mixture on both slices of bread. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over pizza and return to the oven for 5 minutes longer. Makes 6-8 servings.
