GRANNY’S SUGAR COOKIES
Ingredients
1 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
Preparation
Combine margarine, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Gradually add flour, blending well. Divide dough into three equal parts. On a floured surface, roll each section of dough out into a rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick. Roll each sheet of dough up jellyroll-style. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate 2-3 hours. To bake, slice chilled dough into 1/4-inch-thick slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets immediately. Makes 3-4 dozen.
