Ingredients

3 cups self-rising cornmeal
1 cup self-rising flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
4 eggs
1/2 cup corn oil
Buttermilk

Preparation

Combine cornmeal, flour, soda, eggs and oil. Add buttermilk and blend to desired consistency. Pour into a greased 10-inch cast iron skillet. Bake at 450 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
