COLD CABBAGE SLAW

Ingredients

1 large head cabbage
2 small onions
1 bell pepper
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup oil

Preparation

Shred or grate cabbage, onions and bell pepper. Combine in a large bowl. Sprinkle sugar over vegetables. Toss together and set aside. In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat; remove from heat and pour over slaw mixture. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving. Drain before serving. Will keep up to a week refrigerated. Makes 12-15 servings.
