Ingredients

2 1/2 pounds sirloin steak
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oil
2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon ground ginger
3 green bell peppers, seeded and cut in chunks
3 medium onions, peeled and cut in wedges
Cherry tomatoes or 3 medium tomatoes, cut in wedges
Fresh whole mushroom caps
4-5 slices bacon, uncooked and cut in 2-inch pieces

Preparation

Cut steak into 1-inch cubes; place in a large resealable plastic bag. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oil, brown sugar, sugar, vinegar, garlic salt and ginger. Pour over meat and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Drain off marinade and reserve. Place beef cubes alternately on skewers with vegetables and bacon. Place kabobs on broiler pan. Heat reserved marinade to a rolling boil, and boil for 1 minute. Brush over kabobs. Grill kabobs four inches from heat for 15-20 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning often.
