CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE
Ingredients
3 sticks margarine, softened
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons vanilla or almond flavoring
Preparation
In a large mixing bowl, cream margarine, cream cheese and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with electric mixer after each addition. Gradually beat in flour, and continue beating until blended well. Stir in flavoring. Pour batter into a greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. —Brenda Jagger, Lamar County
