Ingredients
4 cooking apples
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
Preparation
Core unpeeled apples and cut into rings. Melt butter in skillet over medium-low heat; stir in brown sugar. Add apples and cook slowly, carefully turning apples with spatula to prevent burning, until apples are transparent and tender but will hold their shape. Makes 4 servings.
