HAM CASSEROLE
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup diced ham
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 (12-ounce) package elbow macaroni, cooked in salted water according to package directions and drained
1 cup milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese, divided
Preparation
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add green pepper and onion and saute for 5 minutes. Add ham and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly browned. Remove from heat; add pepper, macaroni, milk, soup and 1/2 cup of the cheese. Pour into a greased 9- x 13-inch dish; sprinkle remaining cheese over top. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 10 minutes. Makes 8-10 servings.
