BUTTERMILK PIES

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 regular 9-inch pie shells

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine all filling ingredients except buttermilk. Beat with mixer on low speed until well blended. Add the buttermilk, and mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shells. Bake for 40 minutes, or until set and brown on top.
