Ingredients

1 cup plain cornmeal
1/2 cup plain flour
1/3 cup oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup cream-style corn
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup chopped onion
4-5 jalapeno peppers, sliced

Preparation

Combine all ingredients. Pour into a well-greased 10-inch cast iron skillet. Bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
