In a case affecting Weyerhaeuser, the Supreme Court of the U.S. (SCOTUS) ordered a lower court to reconsider “habitat” as defined in the Endangered Species Act, which could ease issues landowners have with critical habitat designations.

The Trump administration encouraged SCOTUS to reject a petition to review California egg production regulations, inciting concerns from farmer organizations. Farmers in other states sued the state over its laws, claiming discrimination against eggs produced on their farms.
