Senate Confirms Seven To Agriculture Board
The Alabama Senate Thursday confirmed seven members of the Alabama Board of Agriculture and Industries.
Gov. Kay Ivey made the appointments early this month. The terms for the new members expire Jan. 16, 2023.
Farmer representatives confirmed to the board are Frankie Speake of Eufaula, Carnell McAlpine of Hayneville, Dennis Maze of Horton and Willis Floyd (Bill) Cook Jr. of Montgomery. Maze is a former Blount County Farmers Federation president and Alabama Farmers Federation board member. Cook is a past Montgomery County Farmers Federation president and current state board member.
Representing agribusinesses and industry on the board are Dr. Billy Powell of Jackson, Joseph Harris of Decatur and Hezekiah Early of Montgomery.
