Wheat & Feed Grains Referendum Is Nov. 15
September 30, 2016 |

Producers who grew feed grains in 2015 or planted for harvest in 2016 will be eligible to vote in the Nov. 15 Wheat & Feed Grains Referendum. The balloting will determine if the wheat and feed grains checkoff program will continue for five more years at the current rate of 1 cent per bushel on corn, wheat, grain sorghum and oats sold in Alabama.

If approved, checkoff funds would be used to finance research, education and promotion activities aimed at further development of the state’s wheat and feed grains industry.

Poll locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in every county. For poll locations, click here.
