Ingredients

1/2 cup chopped green onions
3/4 stick margarine
1 (10-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup potato flakes
1 (15-ounce) can whole kernel corn
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups milk
2 cups chopped ham or 1 pound shrimp, peeled
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

In a large pot, sauté onions in margarine. Add soup, potato flakes and corn. Bring to a simmer. Add cream cheese and milk. Continue simmering 10 minutes. Add ham or shrimp, and simmer 10 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with cornbread or crackers.
