1 2/3 cups sugar
1 (5-ounce) can evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Blend sugar, evaporated milk and salt in a medium saucepan; heat to a boiling, stirring constantly, and continue to boil and stir for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in half the marshmallows and all of the chocolate morsels and vanilla, stirring until marshmallows and chocolate are melted and blended well. Pour into a buttered 8- x 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle remaining marshmallows and walnuts on top; swirl lightly into candy. Chill. Cut into squares when firm. Store in a cool place.
