MEXICAN CORNBREAD

Ingredients

1 cup yellow corn meal
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
2 eggs
1/4 cup oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (17-ounce) can yellow cream corn
1 cup grated cheese
3 or 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Thoroughly grease two 8- or 9-inch skillets and place in oven to preheat. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Bake in hot skillets 20 to 30 minutes or until brown.
