MICROWAVE TOASTED COCONUT-PECAN FROSTING

Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
1 (3.5-ounce) can flaked coconut

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Microwave on high, uncovered, for 22 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. (Microwave temperatures may vary.) Spread between layers and on top and sides of your favorite layer cake. (Frankie uses butter recipe golden cake mix, baked in four layers.)
