Ingredients

2 pounds deer meat, cubed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Flour and water
Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1 1/2 pounds carrots, peeled and sliced
4 large Irish potatoes, diced
1 large onion, minced
Flour and water

Preparation

In a heavy stock pot, brown deer meat in vegetable oil. Remove meat from oil. Make gravy in pot using flour and water. Season gravy with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add browned meat and vegetables to gravy. Mix, cover and cook over medium-low heat until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Bob Weeks, Lamar County
