Honey Sesame Tenderloin

Ingredients

1/2 cup soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger or 1 teaspoon dry ginger
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 (1-pound) whole venison tenderloin
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons sesame seeds

Preparation

Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Place tenderloin in a heavy plastic bag and pour soy sauce mixture over it, coating well. Let tenderloin marinate 2 hours at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator. Remove tenderloin from marinade, and pat dry. Mix together honey and brown sugar in shallow plate. Place sesame seeds on a separate shallow plate. Roll tenderloin in the honey mixture and then in the sesame seeds. Roast in a shallow pan at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Remove tenderloin to platter, and slice thinly to serve. Makes 4-6 servings. Mila Key Johnston, Hale County
