BUTTER PECAN TOFFEE
Ingredients
3/4 cup butter (not margarine)
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup pecan pieces, divided
1/2 cup milk-chocolate chips
Preparation
Line an 8- x 8-inch pan with foil; butter foil generously, and set aside. In a 2-quart measuring bowl, combine butter and sugar. Microwave uncovered on high for 1 minute. Beat until smooth. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup of the pecans. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove from microwave and beat with a wire whisk. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Spread with a knife. Sprinkle remaining pecans over top. Refrigerate until set. Break into pieces, or cut into squares.
